About this one
TEST DATA. A stoneware dinner service for six from around 1976. Six dinner plates, six side plates, six bowls, in a speckled brown glaze.
TEST DATA. Eating off. It is stoneware, so it survives a dishwasher and an oven, and it is heavier than anything sold new at this price. Not microwave safe if any piece has a metallic glaze — none of these do, but check before you assume it of a set like this.
Condition

How it looks

TEST DATA. No chips on any of the eighteen pieces. Light knife marks on three of the dinner plates, which is what fifty years of use looks like. Glaze even throughout.

How it works

TEST DATA. Every piece checked for hairline cracks by tapping and by holding to a light. All sound. Washed before photographing.

Every photograph on this page is of this exact piece.

Lieve's five

TEST DATA. Five pieces from a house that was sold in the spring.
My mother bought that lamp the week I was born. It still works. That is a long time for a lamp.
In Lieve’s own wordsOpens here

TEST DATA. The house was being sold and the five things that mattered were the five things nobody in the family wanted.

Lieve decided they should go somewhere they would be used rather than somewhere they would be stored.
