Guarantee and returns

Every object here is second-hand and most of it is older than the person selling it. So two things protect you, and they work differently.

Your statutory rights

Under European consumer law an object has to be what it was described as. If it is not, you are entitled to have it repaired, replaced or refunded. That right is not something we grant you and it is not something we can limit.

It applies to the description on the page, which is why the description is written the way it is: what it is, what it is for, how it looks, how it works, and what was tested.

Fourteen days to change your mind

You can return anything within fourteen days of receiving it, for any reason, including no reason. Tell us within fourteen days and send it back within fourteen days of telling us.

The object comes back as it went out. You pay the return postage unless the object was not as described, in which case we do.

Refunds go back to the card within fourteen days of the object reaching us.

The Unseend guarantee — three months

If something we said works stops working within three months, tell us. We will repair it, or refund you, whichever is honest for that object.

It covers what the condition paragraph said was tested. It does not cover a new fault caused by use, an object that was sold sealed and untested, or consumables — belts, seals, light seals and batteries wear out and are named where they matter.

How to return something

Write to [EMAIL] with the object number. You will get a return address and an instruction for packing it, which matters more on a camera than on a plate.
