If you have things you no longer use and cannot bring yourself to throw away, there are three ways this works.
One — a whole collection
Forty cameras, a wall of records, thirty years of one thing. We come, we look, we make an offer for all of it, and we pay before it leaves.
Nothing is broken up on the way out of your house. If it was kept together we buy it together, and it stays together on the site as a collection with your name on it — first name only, and only if you want it there.
Two — a few things
Send photographs and roughly what they are. You get a price or an honest no within a few days.
An honest no is worth saying: some things are worth less than the postage, and telling you that is more useful than a low offer.
Three — one thing
Same as above, faster. If it is something we sell, you will know quickly.
What we pay
We buy to sell, so the offer is below what the object will eventually fetch. That gap covers testing, photography, the writing, the guarantee and the time it sits here.
You will be told the offer and you can say no. There is no obligation and no pressure, and there is no second visit where the price has changed.
What happens to it
Everything is tested and photographed. Anything that cannot be repaired is used for parts rather than thrown away. Nothing goes to a bin that could go to a bench.
