About this one
TEST DATA. A 1962 Rolleiflex 3.5F, the twin lens reflex with the Planar. Six by six on 120 film, twelve frames a roll, and a waist level finder you look down into rather than through.
TEST DATA. Slow photography. Twelve frames, no meter you would trust today, and a mirror image in the finder that takes a week to get used to.
The built-in meter is selenium and no longer accurate. Use a handheld one or a phone.
TEST DATA. The 3.5F is the one people mean. Later, better finder, and the Planar rather than the Tessar.
This one has its original focusing screen rather than a later brightscreen, which purists prefer and everybody else finds dim. It is worth knowing which you are.

How it looks
TEST DATA. Leather covering intact with light wear at the corners. Chrome bright. One small dent on the base plate that does not affect the tripod thread. Finder hood clean and folds properly.
How it works
TEST DATA. Shutter fires at all speeds and sounds right at slow ones. Film transport smooth, frame counter resets. Focus is smooth end to end. Both lenses clear, no separation, no fungus.
The selenium meter is dead. That is normal for the age and it is not repairable in any practical sense.
