About this one
TEST DATA. A Braun Atelier amplifier from 1981, in the grey of that decade. Dieter Rams era, and it looks like it.
TEST DATA. Driving a pair of speakers from a turntable, a tuner or anything with a line output. There is no remote and no digital input, which is either the point or a problem depending on you.
TEST DATA. Braun of this period is usually found with cracked plastic around the switches or a scratchy volume pot.
This one has neither. The facia is unbroken and the pot was cleaned.
Condition
How it looks
TEST DATA. Light marks on the top surface, visible at an angle. Lettering complete. Knobs all present and matching.
How it works
TEST DATA. Powers on, both channels play at equal volume. Volume, balance and tone controls all silent through their travel. Inputs tested with a turntable and a phone.
It has not been electrically certified. It was tested on a residual current device and drew no fault, but that is a check rather than a certificate.
